Our Behavior Intervention Support Team, or B.I.S.T has students excited and on board. The program empowers children to manage themselves and be in control of their choices and behavior. Each day, as a building we go over the goals: 1. I can be ok, even if I am mad. 2. I can do things with a positive attitude, even if I don’t want too. 3. I can be ok, even when others around me are not ok. Students are reminded that it is never ok to be harmful or disruptive and they must be accountable for their actions. Teachers will use grace and early interventions to assist students in managing themselves. BIST is a program designed to give students life skills that will sustain them as them their entire lives.
