I grew up on a farm in Frankfort, KS and graduated there in 1994. I attended Kansas State University, where I majored in Geography and Secondary Education. I developed an obsession with social sciences at a young age. My family traveled the country in a van, camped in tents, and made sandwiches at roadside parks. My first road trip was to Glacier National Park when I was 3 weeks old and my most recent was hiking with my family in northern Colorado. My wife and I have two children and we moved to McLouth in 2020.
